National Volunteer Week

As we wrap up National Volunteer Week 2022 (April 17-23), Selah Freedom has had the opportunity to look back on the selfless acts of our amazing volunteers. We are grateful to have stellar volunteers in all five life-saving programs.

Each of our volunteers brings something different to the table, creating a beautiful team where their interests and talents have the opportunity to thrive.

When volunteers spend quality time with the survivors in our programs, they help them experience a love that is NOT transactional. For many, it is incomprehensible that someone would like to do an activity with them, tutor them, or encourage them as they reach their goals. However, as time passes, relationships build, and it is a beautiful thing to witness.

Selah Freedom would not be able to function without the support of the fantastic volunteers who make up our team. We are blessed to say many of our volunteers serve through their time and their financial and tangible donations. Our volunteers have already helped this year by providing much-needed goods as our safe houses expand with residents, books to start a book club together, and even donated experiences like kayaking!

Our volunteers have the heart to give and show the survivors we serve, both men and women, and the youth in our community who we teach how to stay safe how valuable they indeed are.

THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who felt called to serve at Selah Freedom and for all you do.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
